Where Does the Time Go?

It is hard to believe that Ally will be three weeks old tomorrow! For the most part, she is a pretty relaxed little girl. Her sleeping habits haven't been the best the past couple of nights so I'm hoping for a little improvement tonight, especially since Sam had to go to Oklahoma City until Wednesday and I am here by myself.

Carter has really taken off in the last few weeks with his vocabulary! Some of his new words include Pheobe, no, car, Oreo, truck...I can't think of any others right now (that is what sleep deprivation will do to you!). He still loves to play outside, and is constantly trying to get one of the dogs or cats to play with him. We are hoping that he loves to play with Ally as much as he loves to play with the animals!

Bittersweet

My brother left this past weekend to attend Officer Candidate School for the Marines. Although I know he is doing an honorable thing by joining the military to serve our country, we already miss him so much! Uncle Justin, aka "Bubba," is one of Carter's most favorite people in the whole world, and it breaks my heart when he asks for Bubba because we won't be able to see him again until he graduates in Quantico on November 30.

And Baby Makes Four!

Allyson "Ally" Margaret was born September 4, 2007 at 7:16am. She was a healthy 8 lbs 13oz and was 20" long! She is doing wonderful so far. Carter has been great with her; he loves holding her and gives her "sugars" whenever he gets the chance. I think he is ready for her to start playing with him because he wants her to hold his cars for him every now and then. I am doing good, too. The hardest thing has been not being able to pick up or hold Carter, but I know that will change with a little more time. I am ready to start feeling back to normal, but I guess after carrying an almost 9 lb baby around it will take awhile. Here are some pictures I have taken recently. Unfortunately, I don't have time to label all of them, but keep checking back and I will download some more. These are from Carter's first day of school and Ally's birth. I know they are out of order but I am trying to post them while Carter is outside with daddy and Ally is sleeping!
