This and That

These are the cupcakes that Carter and I made this morning. He was really excited about making them, but he hasn't wanted to taste one...yet!
Poor Ally...she is definitely the 2nd child. We don't really have a lot of pictures of her in our house because I just haven't gotten around to printing them out and framing them. This is another attempt to get a good picture of her so that I can frame it and put it on display!
"Good morning, Ally" is the sentence that Carter says every morning when he sees Ally for the first time. Today he wanted Ally to play in his bed with him for a few minutes before he got up. I'm glad they wore their matching pajamas last night!

Frustration

If you have visited our blog over the last 24 hours, you have noticed that I have changed the background several times. I hate to admit it, but I get really bored looking at the same thing all the time, so I decided I would get one of the free templates on the Internet for our blog and spruce it up a little. It's just that ever since I quit working I lost a lot of my computer skills! I was able to finally upload a template, but I ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would...so I went to find a better one. Unfortunately, I could never get another one to come up on the blog so we are back to square one. I usually ask Sam for help but he is good at pretending he doesn't know how to do anything! At least I know how to change the colors and font! Happy February, a little early (you can't tell I used to teach kindergarten, can you???)!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

It has been pretty cold and wet around here lately, which isn't a good combination for a little boy who LOVES the outdoors. Needless to say, we have a little bit of cabin fever. Here are some pictures of how Carter decided to entertain himself today.

Updates

This is a picture of Carter trying to feed Ally her applesauce. I think she was a little scared of Carter holding a spoon so close to her face! He did manage to get one bite in her mouth, but he also got most of the spoon down her throat at the same time!
Ally is saying, "Please do NOT let him feed me!" I keep telling her that he just needs more practice, but she's doesn't buy it!
All of the sudden, Ally decided that she didn't like her hands swaddled anymore, and this is how I would find her when she would wake up several times during the night! Two nights ago we began weaning her off the swaddle. She is still waking up once during the night, but it is better than 2-3 times! I keep telling her that her brother was sleeping like a champ by now but it isn't helping persuade her to sleep any better!Carter and Ally were bonding on the couch one day. From the looks of things, it won't be long until Miss Ally can beat up her older brother!

We have been really busy around here lately (as usual). Sam left for Fort Worth today to begin his new job tomorrow. It is still hard to believe that it is actually happening!
In other news, Ally went to her four month check-up and weighed in at 15.6 lbs and she was 26.5" long! WOW! That puts her in the 85% percentile for weight and 100% percentile for height! The doctor said that he is pretty sure that she will be taller than me (which isn't hard to do), but I just keep wondering when that will happen?!?! She may be taller than everyone by the time she turns 10!

Chaos

The kids and I made a short trip to Central Park to feed the ducks. This was our first time to feed the ducks, and needless to say, it won't be our last!
I kept wondering what would happen if Carter decided to try and swim with the ducks! He was actually very good about not getting too close to the water (maybe because I reminded him about every 30 seconds!). I'm not too overprotective, am I? Ally was playing on the floor in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner and Carter decided to join her. They played together the entire time I cooked. I didn't even hear "no, mine" too many times!

Life around the Noynaert house has been pretty chaotic lately. I have been busy trying to keep the house clean so it can be shown, trying to schedule things for our big move, trying to entertain the kids, and trying to maintain somewhat of a normal routine! Whew! Today I felt like I was running and not going anywhere! I'll be glad when my mom gets home on Thursday and Sam gets home on Sunday!
