Quick Trip

After hearing many friends rave about the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop (and after much debate), we decided to have an adventure and take the kids for the weekend. I was a little apprehensive about going, but once we got there all my fears subsided! It was simply amazing! The resort was completely family friendly, and the kids had a blast swimming, playing on the beach, floating down the lazy river, making s'mores, watching them put shoes on a horse, watching "Wall-E" outside on the lawn, walking along the river, etc. It wasn't even bad sharing a room with them - they brought in a crib for Ally and we took Carter's special "Cars" bed that Santa brought him! We stayed up late Friday night so they could watch part of "Wall-E" and eat popcorn on the grass but it didn't phase them at all - Ally just took a little nap on me while floating the lazy river Saturday morning, and then they both took good naps that afternoon! Some of the restaurants even had a kid sized buffet complete with all their favorite foods! My wonderful husband even surprised me with an hour-long foot message! I can't wait to take them again next summer!

We went there two years ago and had a blast! I really love the Hyatt Hill Country too.

I have enjoyed reading your blog the past couple of months. I found it through Donna Myrick's blog! Your kids are ADORABLE!!

You do need to head to Italy with the kids! I can't believe the incredible view that you dad has at work. Honestly, the kids were beyond perfect getting over there and back. Jackson did get bored when we were touring some of the sites. In his mind, the Roman Forum is a two minute stop, not the 2 hours that we spent there! What do you expect with a 3 year old! :-)
